The Tables “See Emily Play”/“Arnold Layne” 7”(Two Zero)
The Tables have apparently existed for over a decade and have put out quite a few records, but though I’ve heard tracks from at least three different releases, I still have yet to hear any of their originals. This 7” takes the two earliest Pink Floyd A-sides and releases cover versions together as one killer single. No huge deviation from the Floyd originals, which is either a plus or a minus depending on your personal cover-gauge. “See Emily Play” is an especially faithful cover while “Arnold Layne” adds some wild drum accents to Syd’s original psychedelic concoction.
